I know the intro song is Pavement but what song is it…?? I don’t think it is off Slanted and Enchanted…

I’m enjoying most everything about the new show but John needs to cut back on his usage of the word “like”. I know you guys are from cali but honestly…listen and count ’em

  3. todperry says:

Alexander…It’s “Silence Kid” off of Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain.

Wiscodude, thanks for digging the show!Maybe John’s “likes” can be turned into a drinking game.

I guess I haven’t really ever thought much about what being a “grown-ass man/woman” required. I would think when the decision between paying rent and buying a big screen tv/trips to the strip clubs/buying totally useless stuff comes up, and rent is chosen at least 85% of the time, wouldn’t that indicate grown up?

I did appreciate the masculine perspective on growing up, though. You guys are just the bee’s knees.

  5. Monkeypants says:

Did you see the South Park where Butters’ alter ego Professor Chaos is trying to wreak havoc but to each one of his plans his little buddy says “Simpsons did it!”

Listening to you guys discuss/lament/celebrate arriving at adulthood I recalled LBFM’s “Growing Up, The Stuff You Can’t Do…” show and my inner voice kept chanting “Low Budget did it!”

Both shows were hysterical for a guy on the wrong side of 40, (still feeling no older than 35) recalling hitting those realizations. Good times.

(And here is a bit of a spoiler for you: turning 40 isn’t too bad… it’s when you realize you’re only 10 years away from 50 your shit gets officially freaked out.)

I guess the point is, I’m listening and enjoying, though still clearly conflicted. Also, as the point of the South Park I cited above, LBFM has covered so much ground these things are bound to happen.

On a wildly different topic, does anyone else think Buck sounds like this guy:
