Another great episode guys! Hey Tod, I’m applying to Cal State Long Beach next month. What are your thoughts on the school?
I have a very nuanced opinion on CSULB…
1. It is a very good school, academically. I had some great professors.
2. It can be near impossible to get the classes you need. Don’t be surprised if you’re there longer than you think.
3. The school is jam-packed with very attractive O.C. chicks (especially in the Communications department).
4. Get yourself a cheap apt. between Broadway and 7th street. Great party town. Don’t commute from your parents’ house. Get the full college experience.
5. The walk from the parking lot to your classes is a nightmare and mostly uphill.
6. See your counselors early and often. You’re really on your own at that school in terms of faculty support. It’s almost as important to stay on track of your classes and scheduling than doing your schoolwork.
7. If you get in, go to class and get good grades. Don’t screw around coz you’ll end up there for all eternity. Trust me that happened to just about everyone I know.
So yeah, and another good thing its a great value. you’ll get a degree without mountains of debt.
