Regarding the whole Green Burrito taco kerfuffle, I think what it came down to is they didn’t know how your requested change in taco shell should affect the price. I know if I were asked to honor your request, I wouldn’t dare guess which price I should give you, and I would be scared of losing my job over it. I’m sure that corporate management is on their asses as far as inventory (taco shells and the like) and what items they’re allowed to offer with that inventory. “There’s a mismatch in how much hard taco shells you guys used this month vs. sales of beef tacos! Would you care to explain?!” But admittedly, I’ve never worked in fast food.
