182- Stuff That Scared the Crap Out Of You as a Kid

Episode 182 begins with a feeling of dread which… well we can go no further in explaining. Later, the gang shares the things that scared the crap out of them as children. Plus, Tod has an odd misadventure involving acid-wash flip-flops, a Rastafarian and dog poo.

I certainly hope that’s the end of that ghost sound. *shudders* As for the topic, did you ever see the Don Bluth animated movie All Dogs Go To Heaven, Tod? That movie had a lot of horrifying stuff in it (and I don’t just mean Burt Reynolds’s singing). They actually depicted the hero getting rubbed out by the mob like 15 minutes in. He goes to heaven, naturally, but of course he has some unfinished business on earth and wants to get back. He’s told that if he returns to earth (by winding back a magical pocketwatch) he can never come back to the pearly gates (and he’ll end up somewhere warmer if he dies again), but he ignores this warning and figures out how to bring himself back to life. That sets things up for a vivid nightmare he has later about going to hell. This was the closest thing I could find to a video clip of the nightmare (sorry for the guy talking over it): http://youtu.be/Vdfdu4IMpMQ?t=51s

You know, I’ve never seen “All Dogs Go to Heaven.” But that clip is pretty freaky. I hope to never do anything bad enough to wind up in dog hell.
